WATER
Water often symbolizes our subconscious, psychic powers, and also purification. It can represent movement, in the way that water slowly moves earth - revealing what lies beneath and what is hidden.
Magic is contained in science. Two molecules of hydrogen bond with one oxygen molecule and you get - Water - Ever conforming and transforming to its environment. Water has been used for centuries as a tool for healing. Early bathing practices were considered spiritual, hygienic, therapeutic, and even social. Water, for the most part, is abundant and affordable which makes it easily accessible. We can use water in all three of its forms- solid, liquid and gas, allowing for full contact to your body. The body reacts to these changes that are happening externally by internally affecting in the nervous, circulatory, and musculoskeletal systems.
Because it is capable of dissolving more substances than any other liquid, it is important to every living thing on earth.
That means that wherever water goes, either through the air, the ground, or through our bodies, it takes along valuable chemicals, minerals, and nutrients.
Water transfers its heat energy quickly and effectively,
Hydrotherapy uses water to effect the body, and aims to improve quality of blood flow. It is directed at bringing oxygen and nutrients (via the blood) to weaken or damaged tissue and in that way hydrotherapy aids to accelerate the body’s healing process by manipulating blood flow.
In magic, as in life, water is used in many ways. It can be used to cleanse and purify yourself and your space before you begin sacred ceremonies. Taking a cleansing bath, washing your altar space and tools is beneficial to your craft as it clears unwanted energies from your space.
Water can be used as another tool to scry with, either in open water such as the sea or lake, or in a vessel of your choosing.
Your tears are salt water, energy and emotion drive magic, using your tears in ritual, to anoint candles or tools is a powerful way to use the water within for your spiritual intention.
Making moon water is another way to utilize your powers. Infuse the water with your intentions, meditate with the water, and let it soak in the energy of the moon light. Using the water as a hand wash, in your aroma diffuser, facial toner or even in a cleansing soak will bathe you in your magic and is a great reminder of your spell or what you are trying to manifest.
